Michael Pinsker

Michael Pinsker is an Austrian baritone born in Tübingen, Germany. He currently lives in Paris and Vienna.

 

Michael studied voice at the conservatory in Paris. He further developed his voice with Malcolm King and Hubert Humeau in Paris, and at numerous master courses received advice from internationally renowned artists such as Bruce Brewer, Dame Felicity Lott, KS Bernd Weikl, KS Helen Donath, and KS Krassimira Stoyanova.

 

In recent years, Michael has performed regularly as a soloist in concerts, singing the baritone and bass parts of the Requiems of Fauré, Brahms, and Mozart, the Dixit Dominus of Händel, the Johannespassion of Bach, the Messa di Gloria of Puccini, Die Erste Walpurgisnacht of Mendelssohn, the Mass in C minor of Schumann, and many more. In the operatic repertoire, he has sung the roles of Le Duc (Roméo et Juliette / Gounod), Le Marquis de la Force (Dialogues des Carmélites / Poulenc), Montano (Otello), Colline (La Bohème / Puccini), Jupiter (Orphée aux Enfers / Offenbach), Lord Harley (La maison du docteur / Bizet), Zurga (Les Pêcheurs des Perles / Bizet). He has given numerous recitals of both operatic and  chamber music, including his favorite Lieder cycle Die Winterreise (Schubert) and mélodies (Chansons madécasses, Histoires naturelles of Ravel).
